Since they arrived in America in the 1970s, Bert and Josephine “Josie” Golla have inspired people, providing opportunities to help the Filipino community in the USA and back in the Philippines.

He is also the first Filipino American to have passed the CPA examination and to have been licensed as a CPA in Washington state. He is also certified to practice in the Philippines. Josie has been a nurse for 37 years, and she currently manages three mainstream adult family homes in North Seattle.
